He is now weaker and he can't really see well. He can't swallow because he has contraction in his throat. That means he cannot eat, otherwise he will vomit. I feel very bad and frightened. My grandpa always has good health. But it seems that his condition is deteriorating these few years. I know Mom does not feel very well whenever she visits my grandpa. If one day my parents are as old and as weak as my grandpa is now, how do I feel? I would probably be very upset. I don't really want to think what will happen next. It is so depressing.
Work

Work is ok. It is so good. (Note that I am not a big Hugh Grant's fan.) There is a very touching scene where Hugh Grant's Alex performing in a fair and he felt very depressed and embarrassed for performing old/outdated 80s songs in front of a small group om public. But Drew Barrymore's Sophie said everything to cheer him up and gave him support. Although it's just only a few sentences, they already restored Alex's thinning confidence. I feel so touched for this scene. It may seem trivial to other people. But for Alex, the life disappointed him for the past 20 years. Even though the whole world thinks he lost his glory, he still has one fan/supporter standing beside him and helping him go through the hard time. I think it is a great love. Standing beside one another in sicknes, in poverty and when we feel especially fragile and vulunerable means everything to that person.

Borat is so dumb!

I can't stand it. But since we woke up at 9am and saw everything was buried in the snow, the plan was ruined. Classes and flights were cancelled. Edmund's car was literally drowned by snow. The snow is more than a feet high and goes up to my knees. Forgot to mention that my flight back to HK is 4p tomorrow. Crossfinger and hope that the flight will be on schedule.

We (...i mean I) grilled lambchop and made pasta for dinner and had fat free ice-cream as dessert. Things aren't too bad in the end.

Happy Valentine's Day!

Baby is the most adorable thing in the world.... especially the chubby ones!! All my colleagues are in the office til 11p at night and on the weekends.

Edmund came back from HK and he visited me this weekend. As usual, we ate a lot. We went to a Malaysian restaurant on Fri night and had half hainan chicken and lamb casserole. We then went home and watched a HK movie, courtesy to Jeff Ng. Saturday: We tried a new restaurant but the food was just average. Since I lost 1 contact len in the morning, I had to have my eye exam and get the disposable ones. It costed me a lot. We then went back to my office. Edmund studied and I worked for 4 hours. At night, we had dinner at Dallas BBQ near Times Sq. The food is quite good considering its average price. Both of us can't really drink. We only ordered 1 pina colada frozen magarita and we both felt dizzy without finishing the whole drink. Our face went all red and the mood was really high....um...how can we learn how to drink?? Sun: We went to have dim sum and worked/studied for the afternoon. Had Terriyaki Boy for dinner and then Edmund returned to Albany. I spent the whole night to prepare the shipping/packing. God knows how I tired I am right now...I dont even have the energy to walk to the bathroom and take a shower.

PS I watched Love for Rent last week. But it is so good that I have to mention it here. If you have time and want to watch a lighthearted romance/comedy, this is a good choice. And if you are a girl, the male lead Dr. Gardner is charming.

Last Friday in 2006

Today the client's office closed early at 3pm. I left early and went for shopping for a while. I bought a dress for Edmund's school Winter Ball next month. Then went back home and rested a little bit. Later rented 2 movies - Something new and Love for Rent. I am still watching them. Will post some comments if I still have energy.

Again, holiday season without Edmund is depressing....

* at Taisho for x'mas

Casino Royale Theme - MV

Xmas 2006

It is a non stop eating Xmas.

12/22/06 Fri - Edmund finished his exam and took a nap for 3 hours. Then we had a simple lunch and shopped a little bit in the afternoon. At night we had dinner at Outback, and rented The Devil Wears Prada. We went to bed without watching it since we were so tired.

12/23/06 Sat - Woke up at 4:30a and farewell Edmund. He is now in HK. I took the 730a greyhound back to the NYC. I had a facial appointment at 11a and had dim sum with a bunch of coworkers and Catherine. Then Monica and I headed back home. I got a HUGE GOOD news that made me have the happiest xmas in my life. I am relieved. We watched The Devil Wears Prada movie. At night we had dinner at Taisho. [Note: Simon Baker as Christian Thompson in The Devil Wears Prada is charming. He looks like a British in the movie.]

12/24/06 Sun - Watched How to Lose a guy in 10 days in the morning on TBS xmas comedy marathon. Mon, Cat and I had congee for lunch. I then went to Catherine's place and worked a bit for a project. At night we went to a Malaysian restaurant for dinner.

12/25/06 Mon - Spoke with Edmund for an hour. Then packed for 4 hours. Later I rented Step Up and spent the rest of the afternoon lying on bed resting.

12/26/06 Tue - Argh.....back to normal ...work....

I miss Edmund.
